GlenAllachie's 15 year expression is drier than the 12 or the 18 year release, but still packed with cakebread, rum spices, toffee, and dried oak notes that make for a complex and delicately flavored whisky.
Using a combination of sherry casks, Billy Walker (of Glendronach and Benriach fame) has put together a whisky that stands apart from the two bookend releases and offers something more than just three additional years in cask. It's an entirely different experience from front to back.
