Product Description
The Macallan M Black 2018 Release is only the second of its kind and only 850 were made available worldwide. Hugely sought-after, the range is a collaboration between three masters: French designer Fabien Baron (think Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine, Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Calvin Klein, Madonna’s Sex book and so much more), crystal maestros Lalique and of course the biggest name in whisky The Macallan.
M Black 2018 Release, or MMXVIII to give it its Roman numerals, subtly smoky Macallan in lustrous black crystal from Lalique, with each decanter individually numbered. It has been drawn from Macallan’s oldest and rarest casks, some of which were distilled in the 1940s. The dazzling six-faceted design pays homage to Macallan’s six pillars: their spiritual home, their unusually small stills, the finest cut used, the quality of their oak casks, their dedication to natural colour and the resulting peerless spirit. Dried fruits such as sultanas and apricots, combine with peat smoke, fresh cherries, toffee apples, bonfires, marmalade, Christmas gingerbread, marzipan, Abernethy biscuits and wood. Rich and smoky, M Black is a jewel in the crown of any Scotch collection and one for opening only the darkest of nights.
